At Howard’s Appliance Repair, we are committed to providing quality appliance repair services and ensuring customer satisfaction. This policy outlines our guidelines for refunds, returns, and cancellations.
2. Service Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Before Service
- 24+ Hours Notice: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of any deposit or prepayment.
- Less Than 24 Hours Notice: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover scheduling and dispatch costs.
- No-Show: If you are not available at the scheduled time without prior notice, the service call fee is non-refundable.

3. Refund Policy
Service Call / Diagnostic Fee
The service call or diagnostic fee covers the technician’s visit to your location, inspection of the appliance, and diagnosis of the problem. This fee is non-refundable once the technician has arrived and performed the diagnostic assessment, regardless of whether you proceed with the repair.
Repair Services
- Completed Repairs: Once a repair has been completed, refunds are generally not available. However, if you are unsatisfied with the quality of our work, please contact us within 7 days to discuss your concerns.
- Warranty on Repairs: All repairs performed by Howard’s Appliance Repair come with a limited warranty. If the same issue recurs within the warranty period, we will re-service the appliance at no additional labor cost.
- Unsuccessful Repairs: If we are unable to repair your appliance after attempting service, you will only be charged for the diagnostic fee and any parts that were installed and cannot be returned.
Prepaid Services
If you have prepaid for services that have not yet been rendered, you may request a refund. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days using the original payment method.
4. Parts Return Policy
Parts Installed During Repair
Parts that have been installed in your appliance during a repair cannot be returned or refunded, as they are considered used once installed.
Parts Ordered But Not Installed
- Standard Parts: If parts were ordered for your repair but not installed (due to cancellation or other reasons), a restocking fee of up to 25% may apply.
- Special Order Parts: Custom or special order parts are non-refundable and non-returnable.
- Defective Parts: If a newly installed part is found to be defective, we will replace it at no additional cost within the warranty period.
5. Warranty Information
Howard’s Appliance Repair provides a limited warranty on all repairs:
- Labor Warranty: 90 days from the date of service
- Parts Warranty: Varies by manufacturer; typically 90 days to 1 year
Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, power surges, accidents, or unauthorized modifications to the appliance.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely satisfied with our service, please contact us within 7 days of your service date. We will work with you to address any concerns, which may include:
- Re-inspection of the appliance
- Additional repairs at no extra charge (if related to original service)
- Partial or full refund at our discretion
